Infant Teacher - Urgently Hiring

Position Overview:

Kids Crossing Daycare is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and team-oriented Infant Teacher to join our team! This position will cover a maternity leave from May through July, working a consistent Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule in our infant program.

For the right candidate, this role has the potential to transition into a permanent Infant Float position, supporting multiple infant classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, responsive care to infants (feeding, diapering, soothing, and engaging)
  • Follow individual care plans and routines for each child
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
  • Support developmental milestones through age-appropriate interaction and play
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
  • Ensure all licensing regulations and center policies are followed
  • Complete daily documentation (feeding, diapering, naps, etc.)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with infants (childcare setting preferred)
  • Warm, patient, and dependable personality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements (background check, etc.)
  • Flexibility for potential transition into a float role after July

Schedule Details:

  • Temporary coverage: May–July
  • Consistent schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Opportunity to continue in a flexible Infant Float position after July
